So I have had quite a weekend. It was not so pleasant. Friday Slayer called and said that he needed to go to the doctor. What for you ask? Well, he had a sharp pain in his right side that stretched down into his groin. Hurt real bad apparently. So I take him to the emergency room. Oh boy that's a joke! I understand that there were people that were in worse shape than him but it was ridiculous. We waited in the waiting room for about an hour and a half. Then we got moved into a hall where they drew some blood because they wanted to get his bloodwork taken care of because they were afraid that it was his appendix. So we sat in the hall for about 20 minutes. Then we FINALLY got moved to a room. The doctor came in and felt him up and ordered a couple of tests which were actually kind of speedy. They said they were going to get the results back in about a half hour. 2 HOURS later I used the little nurse call button to have her come in and ask her what was going on. You know what she said? Oh your doctor went home a couple of hours ago so I'll go see who has taken over. Really? Thanks so much! So after she ran off, like two trauma victims came in and we had to wait another hour or so (I'm only mad about that because we have really bad timing, more on that later...) So we finally left the hospital at about 6:30. We got there at 11:20. Turns out he was fine. Huh. But they said that we should come back if it got any worse.
So Saturday night we went to Roosters. It was lovely. Very tasty. By the time dinner was over Slayer was in so much pain that he couldn't stand up and looked like he was going to cry. So we went back to the ER. This time I was prepared and brought a book. So we get there and there is only one other person, we should get back quickly right? Au contrare! After we got there a man came in who had potentially had a stroke, a kid with a busted arm, a little girl with asthma that couldn't breathe. Worst. Timing. Ever.
Turns out (again) that everything was fine and we were only there for 3 and a half hours that time. So know it's on to regular doctors to find out what the problem is.
UPDATE:
In case there is anyone out there that cares, I have not really lost any weight and the window of weight loss is rapidly closing. My pants? Oh they're still tight. So I guess that I will have to start going to the gym twice a day. Fun.
This vegetarian business is going fairly well. Turns out I didn't eat that much meat to begin with but I do still miss bacon and I keep thinking of things I can't eat anymore that make me sad. (Costa Vida's pork nachos. I heart you.)
