Reminising

I was waxing nostalgic yesterday and broke out the yearbooks. Apparently it's been a while since I looked at them because one was crusted with spiderwebs and a couple of dead spiders, but anyway...
Whilst I was looking through the BL Clansman some pretty random memories came to mind and some made me laugh and some made me pretty embarrassed. Mostly I am embarrassed at what a total dork I was and I sometimes wonder if I have some social retardation (it's a real condition). I thought about the boys I was totally in love with, one in particular. Some of them really made me wonder what I was thinking.
Anyway here are a few of my silly high school memories:
Let's start with 9th grade:
  • My most prominent memory would be of Shaun. My true love since the 8th grade. I was totally, completely enamored with him. He called me a bitch in seminary. We didn't talk much the rest of high school. Turns out I never quit being in love with him. Maybe I still have a chance...
  • Freshman football games, could we be more lame?
  • Ms. Desirsy who hated me no matter what a good student I was.
  • Mr. Langeveld who loved me and wanted me to be in a higher geography class because I was so smart. I went ahead and made a couple of mistakes on a test so that I wouldn't look so smart and to make him drop it.
  • Eating cheetos and surge everyday for lunch. I really can't figure out how I got fat...

10th grade:

  • Megan and I went to a church dance and it was a girls choice song and I was not going to ask anyone and then, Alan Prothero came and asked me to dance and I am pretty sure it was the best day of my life up until that point, or at least that's what my journal makes it seem like.
  • I grew some balls and finally asked Alan to dance at the last stomp. Also the best day ever.
  • Stomps ruled for some reason. Does anyone else remember Justin Bill standing against the wall the whole time?
  • When Mr. Pederson wouldn't let me leave the classroom even though I was about to puke my guts out. Lisa Shultz held the garbage for me, what a nice girl.
  • Brittany got to go to prom! We were all so jealous! Even though her date was kind of...a dork.

11th grade:

  • Of course WINNING IRONHORSE! It was awesome.
  • The events leading up to the Ironhorse game. Shaun, Kyle, Hoag, all of those boys and the breaking of the giant rock 'O'. They almost got away with it, instead they got to ride in the juvie bus every weekend for a couple of months.
  • Failing my driving test more than once.
  • Junior prom. My date sucked. I guess that's what I get when I let my somewhat ghetto friend set me up with a date. I ended up getting a ride home with Jose and Meganlee.
  • Tessa gave me a ride home from school most of the year. She used to drive like an idiot or make me steer from the passenger seat. She would also not come to a complete stop in front of my house, she'd jsut slow down. Probably real dangerous but pretty funny.
  • I don't quite remember who I was in love with that year...

12th grade:

  • My little red honda hatchback.
  • Brittany and I getting in trouble by someone for being too sarcastic. I didn't know you could be...
  • The oh so skanky manaquin in the back of the yearbook room. We should have been doing work, not making oufits.
  • The Valentine's dance that Meganlee and I went to with Jose. Best dance ever.
  • MORP when we waited forever to eat at the Hard Rock. Not the best dance ever. Had a lot to do with my date.
  • Losing Ironhorse by .1 seconds. Wtf?
  • The Mr. Bonneville Pageant and meeting Skye and his friends. We were totally cool for hanging out with boys from another school.
  • When Brittany was either asking or answering (don't remeber which) Justin Amos to a dance and we put confetti all over the top of his ceiling fan and tuned it on high. It went everywhere and it was AWESOME!
  • How could I forget the security guard. The first guy to seem to be interested in me. Too bad he was a douche. He was 23 and claimed to be totally rich. Unfortunately he wore the same thing everyday. The stories he told...oy. My favorite thing about him was that he said "one date with me will be the date you will compare all other dates too and all the other ones will suck". Funny thing, that date sucked more than any other date I've ever been on. I've had a couple real crappy dates too. Update: Celina saw him working at the Petco in Harrisville. I think he claimed to ba a manager or something. ya right.

So, Meganlee, I'm going to need for you to make a trip up here to visit and then me and you and Brittany and Megan can all go to dinner (spaghetti factory) and then we can have a sleepover. In which case Brittany, I am going to need my senior memories video back so we can watch it. OH and then we can also watch the Bonnie Lassie video with the wedding thing on the end...
