And I ran, I ran so far away, I just ran, I ran all night all day...

So this past saturday I ran in my first ever 5K. I got 6th place in my age group...out of 6. oops. My time was 35:14 which i suppose isn't terrible but it is also not great. It was at the fairgrounds and it was my friend Celina and I. Her cousins ended up doing the race also, one of which is a runner. So we all ran together for a while and then I couldn't handle anymore so the non-runner cousin and myself walked for a minute and Celina and the runner went ahead. We did that a couple of times and Celina and the runner just kept going. So Celina's time was about 30 minutes. Good job her. She got 4th place.
So I appreciate the fact that I had someone to walk with and I'm glad that I did it even though it was torture. I can't even begin to imagine running a marathon. That would be insane.
I should also probably apologize to Celina's cousin that is the runner. She is also quite positive, which is a little too much for me to take at 6 am. I think I told her to shut up and go away more than a few times. So sorry.

Good job on the 5K! One day Gary told me he wanted to run a marathon before he died. Then we ran a 5K, and that changed his mind. I honestly don't know how the people who run marathons do it.
