Bad News

So Thursday morning I got a pretty terrible phone call from my Dad informing me that my Mom had passed away.  Not really a call I was expecting.  She died sometime Wednesday night/Thursday morning and my poor Dad found her when he went to go to work.  If you know me at all you know that my Mom and I didn't have the greatest relationship, but that doesn't mean I didn't love her.  I just hope that she's in a better place and is able to do all the things that she hasn't been able to do in a long time.  I'm mostly sad for my Dad.  My Mom had a lot of health problems and if those are all cured now than why should I be sad about that?  I just know that my Dad has spent the last few years waiting on her hand and foot and I'm worried that he's not going to know what to do with himself now.  He's going to have a lot of time on his hands and I don't want him to be lonely and sad.
I'm not really sure if it has all hit me yet, that she's really gone.  I'm sure that there will be times when it will be really hard on me.  If I eventually get married or have kids I'm pretty sure those will be events that I'll wish she was there for, but I'm sure she will be, even if I don't know it.
Love you Mom.

BIG NEWS!!!

Or "Things That Happened This Week That I Didn't Think Would"

These are the titles that Celina gave me to title this blog. She's upset because I haven't updated this enough but look I've been busy guys! Geez, sorry!
First- I'm ultra excited because I FINALLY passed math! What!?! Yes I finally passed math and now I am officially a junior in college, how grown up of me! Too bad I should be graduated by now... whoops.
Second- Since funds are tight I'll be picking up a couple of days a week at the AE at the Gateway. So if you're in SLC on Monday or Tuesday evenings come on in and say hey. Sign up for a credit card too, it'll make me look good...
Third- I got me a boyfriend! Nice huh? All I'll say is that he's lovely. I'm saying only that because I feel that this blog is somewhat cursed but mostly I'm saying that because he reads my blog and he's already proud enough of himself and I'd hate to make that any worse. :) Kidding! He's swell though...
Saturday for his birthday we went out to dinner at Fresco's in Salt Lake. Delish and super fance. This little Ogden girl didn't know what to do with herself! Food was great, company was great, and the waiter was great! He scraped the crumbs off the table for us. That my friends is service. After that we went to Liquid Joe's to see the Spazmatics. If you haven't seen them then you to need to go. It is SO FUN! I don't know about you but some rockin' 80's music is always a good time.

Party Attendees

Greg 'slappin da bass' (It's in "I Love You, Man", see it)

Me! Excuse the bangs, they are askew from all the rockin' out I was doing. Isn't my shirt cute? Someone that was there for the birthday celebration said that it was cute that I wore an 80's shirt. Not actually what I was going for...

Ye Olde Renissance Faire

An alternate title to this blog could be "How I Nerded Out on Friday"

So somehow Greg convinced me that we should go to the Renissance Fair because it would at least be fun to see all the tards dressed up in chainmail and all the other finery of the days of yor. Bet you didn't know that there was even a Renissance Fair in Ogden. I bet most people don't because it's quite hidden and we drove past the entrance 3 times.
Look- These people are ridiculous. RIDICULOUS! The gent at the door checking tickets was the first guy I encountered and he said 'how be ye?' to which I laughed. Don't talk like that. The day can best be explained in pictures:

Ye entrance

A vendor, of what I'm not entirely sure...

Greg and a couple of merchants. The merchants were sure that Greg was a military man. They were wrong! He's simply arrogant.

You can't tell but it says Beware! Sea Hags!

Ye olde puppet show.
So. Boring.

Have you seen Role Models? These are those guys...

Greg and I

Finally, how I feel about the Renissance Fair. Excuse the double chin...

After we stayed at the fair for, oh, 45 minutes we went to dinner and then we went and saw, what else, Star Trek! I'll admit that it was pretty good and Kirk is hot! But seriously, I went to a renissance fair and Star Trek ON THE SAME DAY! Oy.

Relief...kind of

So thank the Lord above that school is finally out!  I'm real excited that I can read a book and not feel guilty that it has nothing to do with school.  I think there is a pretty good possibility that I finally passed my math class, if so, I am having a party.  So I'm glad to have the summer off but I fear I may need a second job since dear old Dad is cutting me off and making me be a grown up and pay for my own school.  I don't want one but it's looking like I'll have to get one if I plan on doing anything with my life and getting the education I so desperately need to do that.  If I could just stop spending money things would be so easy...  Other than that my life is pretty boring but good.
Oh geez, I really do need a vacay or something so that I have something interesting to say...  Sorry, I am incredibly lame.
If you'd like to know what I do with all my spare time check out these photography websites.  I might be a tad obsessed with wedding photography...
